Elder Selection 2024

On behalf of the current Eldership we would like to inform you that we have been working through our selection process and have identified these men to potentially serve as Elder here at Christ’s Church for the next three years. We are presenting them to the Congregation as a final step of affirmation. If you have a spiritual, ethical, or moral concern that you feel would render one of these men unqualified to serve as an Elder here please notify us within the next two weeks (by Nov 17). You may do so at elders@ccmason.org or by writing to: 5165 Western Row Rd. Mason OH 45040
Mark Mueller

Mark Mueller

Mark and his wife Heidi have attended Christ’s Church for 30 plus years. They served as leaders in the high school ministry for many years and on one occasion Mark filled in as the interim youth minister. Mark has been involved with leading adult Bible fellowships, small groups, preaching, and previously served as an elder at Christ’s Church. Mark enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his three kids, their spouses, and his five amazing grandchildren. He also enjoys music and playing guitar as part of the worship team at CC. His music philosophy is, “If you can’t be good, be loud!”

When asked why serving as an elder is important to him, he replied, “I love the Bride of Christ and have always believed that we are called to use our gifts to love and support Her. It is my desire to serve as an elder to do just that.”

Gary Herbert

Gary Herbert

Gary and his wife of 29 years, Beth, have attended Christ’s Church for 20 years. They have three grown children, Daniel, Seth, and Leah. Gary and Beth lead a couple’s community group in their home and Gary also leads a Saturday morning men’s group at the church. Gary serves in the CCKids ministry, assists with Higher Grounds, and is passionate about our church’s men’s ministry. In his free time, he enjoys sports, 80’s music, and the outdoors.

When asked why serving as an elder is important to him, he responded, “We are to love God and his people. I really enjoy being a part of God’s community and sharing his love with everyone. As I’m challenged to have the Spirit stirred within myself, I feel driven to share that challenge with others.”
